Rußbach am Pass Gschütt is a municipality with 776 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the Salzburger Land in the Hallein district in Austria .

The community is located in the Rußbachtal, a side valley of the Lammertal , in the Tennengau of the Salzburg region. Pass Gschütt Straße (B 166) leads through Rußbach to the eponymous Gschütt pass , the valley crossing to Gosau in the Inner Salzkammergut .

The municipality includes the following three localities (population in brackets as of January 1, 2020):

The community consists of the cadastral community Rußbach.

Until the end of 2002 the community belonged to the Abtenau judicial district , since 2003 it has been part of the Hallein judicial district .

The coat of arms of the municipality is blasned :

A red Passion Cross on a gold shield , covered with two crossed black keys and underneath a blue forest saw with black handles.

The community council has a total of 9 members.
