Uschi Bauer

Uschi Bauer (born October 1, 1950 in Munich , born Renate Slovik and married Renate Remmelt ) is a German popular pop singer and yodeler .

Life

As a child, Bauer played the piano and took singing lessons. After school she studied at the University of Music and Theater in Munich . She worked as a typist and entered a competition in the 1970s, as a result of which she was awarded a record deal. Their first album was released in 1978. In 1986 she took part in the Grand Prix of Folk Music as Uschi Bauer with the song Der Zaubersee composed by Herlinde Grobe , but could not reach the final. In the following year she was able to achieve third place at the Grand Prix of Folk Music 1987 with hand on heart and with I bin a Wetterfrosch she came in 13th place at the Grand Prix of Folk Music in 1988 . Bauer had her greatest success to date in 1988 with the song Die kleine Bergkirche (Ave Maria) . She is a frequent guest at popular television and radio events.

She has been married to Viktor Remmelt since 1970 and lives in Beutelsbach in Lower Bavaria . Bauer participated in The Voice Senior in 2019 under her real name Renate Remmelt .
