The Pass Gschütt Straße ( B 166 ) is a state road in Austria . She km in length 48 and leads from the Tauern motorway  (A10) / Katschbergstraße  (B 99) at Niedernfritz in Fritztal over the Lammertal and from Abtenau (connection Lammertal road  B 162) via the eponymous Pass Gschütt and Gosau to Hallstätter See , with connection to the Salzkammergut Straße  (B 145) near Gosauzwang (Hallstatt municipality) .

history

The Golling-Abtenau-Radstädter road and the Abtenau-Gosauer road among the 20 roads that are expressly described in Salzburgerstraße law of 14 January 1873 as state roads.

The subsidized municipal road between the Salzkammergut federal road in Stambach and the Gschütt Pass has been known as Gosaustraße since 1932 .

After the annexation of Austria , the Upper Austrian road network was reorganized according to the German model. The road between Abtenau and Stambach was declared 1st order country road on April 1, 1940 and designated as LIO 14.

The Pass Gschütt Straße has been part of the network of federal highways in Austria since January 1st, 1951 .

Since January 1, 1973, the Gschütt Strasse Pass has ended in Niedernfritz on the B 99, and the old route between Golling and Abtenau has been known as Lammertal Strasse since then .

At the end of July 2019, parts of the road were severely damaged in a storm and the Neuhausbrücke in Rußbach was destroyed. This made the road impassable for a few weeks.

 B166  Like the other former federal highways, Pass Gschütt Straße was part of the federal administration. Since April 1, 2002, it has been under state administration and continues to have the B in the number, but not the name Bundesstraße.
