The Mariazellerstraße B 20 is a main road in Austria and runs from St. Pölten in Lower Austria to Kapfenberg in Styria . It has km a length of 133.9 and provides a compound of West Highway A 1 and the Semmeringschnellstraße S 6. They via Wilhelmsburg , Traisen , Lilienfeld and Tuernitz by the Traisental about Annaberg by Maria cell , over the Steirischen Seeberg and Aflenz to Kapfenberg.

The B 20 is part of the Austrian Via Sacra . The road from Mitterbach on the Styrian border via Wiener-Bruck, Türnitz, Lilienfeld and Sankt Georgen am Steinfelde to Wien-Linzer Strasse near St. Pölten is one of the 17 roads that were declared Lower Austrian state roads in 1866. In 1854 there were four toll stations in St. Pölten, Traisen , Lehenrotte and Annaberg , which brought in 12,500 guilders for the state treasury.

The Mariazellerstraße of Sankt Pölten to the border with Mitterbach was declared by decree of the Federal Government on June 9, 1933 to the main road. Until 1938, Mariazeller Strasse was known as the B 20. After the annexation of Austria , this road was converted into a Reichsstraße on April 1, 1940 as part of the standardization of the road system and was designated as Reichsstraße 346 until 1945 .

B20	Like the other former federal highways, Mariazeller Strasse was part of the federal administration. Since April 1, 2002, it has been under state administration and continues to have the B in the number, but not the name Bundesstraße.
