history

The Josephinische Lagebuch , a regional description of the Upper Austrian cadastral communities from the year 1788, describes the road "from Weißenbach to Ischel" (sic!) As the only well-developed road on the southern Attersee. This street was maintained by the Salinenamt zu Gmunden, on it not only the salt transports from Hallein ran, the emperor and his guests also used this street regularly on the way to and from Ischl. This earned her the nickname Hofjagd-Landesstraße.

When the road on the eastern bank of the Attersee was opened around 1840, the 39.4 km long Atterseer district road included not only the new line from Timelkam to Weißenbach, but also the traditional section between Weißenbach and Mitterweißbach. As a result of the legally mandated renaming of the Upper Austrian state roads, Weißenbacher Strasse has been part of Mondseestrasse since 1932 .

After the annexation of Austria , the Upper Austrian road network was reorganized according to the German model. The road between Weißenbach and Mitterweissenbach was declared 1st order state road on April 1, 1940 and designated LIO 13.

The White Bach Mitterweißenbach street belongs since 1 January 1950 for the network of federal roads in Austria .
