The Seeleiten road (B 152) is a country road in Austria . It runs over a length of 24 km through the Salzkammergut and runs along the eastern and southern banks of the Attersee . The street is named after the Seeleiten, a mountain on the Attersee.
history
A Roman road , of which no remains have survived, led on the eastern bank of the Attersee to Bad Ischl . Today's road was built around 1840 on the eastern bank of the Attersee. Urns and tools from Roman times were discovered during road construction.
The 25.8 km long Atterseer Bezirksstraße , which led from Timelkam to Weißenbach am Attersee, was renamed Weyregger Straße in 1932 . In Weißenbach it led to Mondseestrasse .
After the annexation of Austria , the Upper Austrian road network was reorganized according to the German model. The road between Unterach and Ober Thalheim was declared 1st order state road on April 1, 1940 and designated LIO 11.
The Seeleiten street belongs since 1 January 1951 to the network of federal roads in Austria .
