The Lundenburger road B47 is a country road B in Lower Austria . It runs for a length of 21 km from Brünner Straße (B7) near Wilfersdorf via Bullendorf , Großkrut and Reintal to the Czech border.
The B47 is an important link from the B7 to the Moravian town of Břeclav (in German: Lundenburg). As an alternative to the northern B7, you can drive from Wilfersdorf via the B47 to Břeclav and from there via the Czech D2 motorway to Brno .
history
After the annexation of Austria this road was in the wake of the unification of the road system on April 1, 1940 in a Reichsstrasse converted and as part of Wilfersdorf to Krakow leading national route 374 classified.
The Lundenburger street belonged starting from 1 January 1950 to the network of federal roads in Austria . In 2002 it was transferred to the state administration.
expansion
During the planning phase of the northern section of the Nord Autobahn (A5), it was planned to build bypasses of Großkrut and Reintal as part of the B47. It was feared that traffic would increase due to the A5 in the direction of Břeclav. The planning has been postponed for the time being, but is still included in the Lower Austria 2030+ mobility concept.

B47 | Like the other former federal highways, Lundenburger Strasse was part of the federal administration. Since April 1, 2002, it has been under state administration and continues to have the B in the number, but not the name Bundesstraße. |
