The Eisenstädterstraße (B 59) is a country road in Austria . It runs over a length of 5.2 km from the southeast motorway (A 3) to Eisenstadt , the capital of Burgenland .

history

The road between Eisenstadt and Müllendorf was added to the Austrian federal road network in 1923 as part of Eisenstädter-Preßburger Strasse . After the annexation of Austria , this road was converted into a 1st order country road on April 1, 1940 as part of the standardization of the road system and designated as part of LIO 70. Since April 1, 1948, the Eisenstädter Straße belonged again to the network of federal highways in Austria . The post-war Eisenstädter Straße began in Kittsee on the Czechoslovakian border and led from Müllendorf through the entire Burgenland to Jennersdorf . The new, shortened oneEisenstädter Strasse was established on January 1st, 1972.

 B59  Like the other former federal highways, Eisenstädter Strasse was part of the federal administration. Since April 1, 2002, it has been under state administration and continues to have the B in the number, but not the name Bundesstraße.
