The Gmunden road (B 144) is a country road in Austria . It runs over a length of 24 km from Lambach to Gmunden am Traunsee . The road runs along the Traun and offers a connection to the West Autobahn (A 1) .
history
The Lambach-Gmundener Reichsstraße connected the Salzburger Reichsstraße with the Traunsee. There was no shore road there until 1861, so all goods between Gmunden and Ebensee had to be transported by water.
The Salzkammergut Street is one of the former Reich streets that were taken over by the Federal Law of July 8, 1921 as national roads. Until 1938, Salzkammergut-Strasse was designated as B 39; after the connection with Austria , Salzkammergut-Strasse was run as Reichsstrasse 339 until 1945 .
From 1949 the Salzkammergut-Straße from Lambach to Bad Aussee was continuously referred to as the B 145 . According to the Federal Roads Act of 1971, Salzkammergut-Straße has since been led to Vöcklabruck and the northern section of the previous Salzkammergut-Straße was renamed Gmundener Straße .
B144 | Like the other former federal highways, Gmundener Strasse was part of the federal administration. Since April 1, 2002, it has been under state administration and continues to have the B in the number, but not the name Bundesstraße. |
