The United Jedlersdorfer road B229 is a main road B and former federal road in Vienna . In addition to Donau Straße (B3), it represents an important east-west axis between the 21st and 22nd district.

It begins with the departure from the A22 -Zubringer north bridge at the Brno road (B7), crosses the Angerner street (B8) and leads to the junction Rautenweg the Vienna Northern Perimeter Expressway (S2). Since 2010 the collector lanes on both sides of the S2 between Rautenweg and Breitenleer Straße have also been part of the main road B229.

It runs within the Floridsdorf and Donaustadt districts and bears the street names Lundenburger Gasse , Shuttleworthstrasse , Ruthnergasse , Siemensplatz , Siemensstrasse , Julius-Ficker-Strasse and Rautenweg . Except for a bottleneck in the transition area from Siemensstraße to Julius-Ficker-Straße , the B229 has four lanes.

Groß Jedlersdorfer Straße was part of the federal road network until 2002, when it was transferred to the state administration.

B229  Groß Jedlersdorfer Straße was, like the other former federal highways, in the federal administration. Since April 1, 2002, it has been under state administration and continues to have the B in the number, but not the name Bundesstraße.
