The Weitental road (B 216) is a country road in Austria . It leads over a length of 18 km through the valley of the Weitenbach in the Waldviertel . The road begins on the Danube near Melk and initially leads west past the Jauerling Nature Park before it ends at Pöggstall .

The Weitenegg-Zwettlerstraße heard since 1 January 1951 to the network of federal roads in Austria . Later the B 36 led through the Yspertal and the Weitental Straße became an independent main road.

B216	Weitental Strasse, like the other former federal roads, was part of the federal administration. Since April 1, 2002, it has been under state administration and continues to have the B in the number, but not the name Bundesstraße.
