The Gföhler road (B 32) is a country road in Austria . It runs for a length of 24.9 km through the Waldviertel . Gföhler Strasse begins on Kremser Strasse (B 37) at the Gföhl bypass . From here it leads to the Thurnberg reservoir and along the Allentsteig military training area before it ends in Brunn an der Wild on Waldviertler Straße (B 2) .

history

The road from Krems via Senftenberg, Gföhl, Idolsberg, Neupölla to Göpfritz is one of the 17 roads that were declared Lower Austrian state roads in 1866. The road between Gföhl and Göpfritz was completed in 1834 and had two toll stations in Idolsberg and Neupölla, which brought in around 650 guilders a year for the state treasury.

The Gföhler Straße between Königsalm and Neupölla has been part of the network of federal highways in Austria since April 1st, 1959 . On January 1, 1972, Gföhler Strasse was extended to the planned Waldviertel expressway near Brunn.

 B32  Like the other former federal highways, Gföhler Strasse was part of the federal administration. Since April 1, 2002, it has been under state administration and continues to have the B in the number, but not the name Bundesstraße.
