The Lustenauer road ( L 204 ) is a country road in Austria . It has a length of 6.8 km and leads from Dornbirn via Lustenau to the Rhine bridge on the border between Austria and Switzerland .
From 1902 to 1938 the route of the Dornbirn-Lustenau tram ran there .
On the stretch between the Dornbirn-Süd motorway exit of the Rheintal motorway (A 14) and the national border, the road carries a large part of the transit traffic from Germany to Switzerland.

The Lustenauer street belonged from 1 September 1971 to transition to the regional road network on April 1, 2002 the network of federal roads in Austria .

Like the other former federal highways, Lustenauer Strasse was part of the federal administration. Since April 1, 2002 it has been under state administration. In the other federal states, the conventional street name is continued with B - in Vorarlberg, however, the streets taken over by the federal government have an L in the name like all other Vorarlberg regional streets . |
