The Mittersill Road (B 168) is a country road in Austria . It has a length of 21.5 km and leads from Lake Zell on the left bank of the Salzach to Mittersill .
history
The Gasteiner Straße from Bischofshofen via Lend to Badgastein and the Pinzgauer Straße from Lend via Mittersill to the Thurn Pass are among the federal highways established by the federal law of July 8, 1921. Until 1938 the Pinzgauer Straße was designated as B 54, after the connection of Austria the Pinzgauer Straße was led as part of the Reichsstraße 318 until 1945 .
The Federal Roads Act of 1948 designated the entire 137 km long road from Salzburg to the Thurn Pass as Salzachtal Strasse B 159 . The section between Bruckberg and Mittersill has been called Mittersiller Straße B 168 since 1971 .
B168 | Like the other former federal highways, Mittersiller Straße was part of the federal administration. Since April 1, 2002, it has been under state administration and continues to have the B in the number, but not the name Bundesstraße. |
