The Krems-Waidhofener Straße from Krems via Zwettl and Vitis to Waidhofen - the successor to Reichsstraße 346 - has been part of the network of federal highways in Austria since April 1, 1948 .
The Weitenegg-Zwettlerstraße originally began in Weitenegg, and is also part of the network of federal roads in Austria since 1 January 1951st
The Yspertal Straße between Ysperdorf and Würnsdorf, which was opened in 1853 as a private road of the kk Gutsverwaltung in Rorregg, has been part of the network of federal roads in Austria since April 1st, 1959.

B36 | Like the other former federal highways, Zwettler Strasse was part of the federal administration. Since April 1, 2002, it has been under state administration and continues to have the B in the number, but not the name Bundesstraße. |
