Course of the road

The Rechbergstraße (B 64) is a country road in Austria . It runs over a length of 50.5 km from Gleisdorf an der Süd Autobahn (A 2) to Frohnleiten in the Mur valley on the Bruck expressway (S 35) . The road initially leads along the Raab and the Gleisdorf – Weiz regional railway to Weiz . From there the Rechberg Straße leads through the Weizklamm and the Grazer Bergland over the Rechberg to Frohnleiten.

Until the construction of the Gleinalm tunnel as part of the Pyhrn Autobahn (A 9) , Rechberg Strasse was the main connecting road from the northern Mur Valley to the Raab Valley. In this role, she was replaced by the route via Semriach , so that there is little traffic.
