history

The road from Mureck via Marktl and Gleichenberg to Feldbach was assigned to the first class district roads by the law of October 3, 1868.

By the law of September 13, 1923, the district road Gleisdorf - Feldbach - Gleichenberg - Halbenrain was declared a rival road . In Austrian legal language, competition refers to the joint financing of a project by various institutions. In this case, the federal and state governments each paid 35 percent of the construction costs, the districts each had to bear 30 percent of the construction costs within their area.

The Gleichenberger road was declared by decree of the Federal Government on June 9, 1933 to the main road. Until 1938 Gleichenberger Strasse was designated as B 23, after the annexation of Austria , Gleichenberger Strasse was no longer run as Reichsstrasse .

Since January 1, 1973, the northern section between Feldbach and Ilz has also been part of the network of federal roads in Austria .
