The Ilz (also: Ilzbach ) in Austria is a 48.7 km long right tributary of the 115 km long Feistritz in Styria .

It has its source east of the Gschnaidtkogel in the eastern Grazer Bergland ( Steirisches Randgebirge ) at an altitude of about 710 m. The Ilz flows through Sinabelkirchen , Gnies and Ilz and flows into the Feistritz at an altitude of approx. 265 m near Großwilfersdorf .

The catchment area of ​​the Ilz is 199 square kilometers, the difference in altitude between source and mouth is 445 meters.

In the Ilz following fish occur: chub , barbel , gudgeon , pike , nose , Loach and wolffish .
