General

The Neusiedler Straße ( B 51 ) between Neusiedl am See and the state border near Halbturn has been part of the network of federal highways in Austria since January 1, 1949 , the Frauenkirchener Straße ( B 52 ) between Mönchhof and the state border near Pamhagen only since January 1 1950.

The Neusiedler Straße ( B 51 ) has been leading to Pamhagen since 1972, and the section between Mönchhof and the Hungarian state border has been graduated to form a state road.

The Neusiedlerstraße starts at a roundabout north of Neusiedl am See , where the B50 branches. Then the street drops steeply and leads to the city center of Neusiedl am See, where it joins the Neusiedler Hauptstraße. After Neusiedl follows Weiden am See and a roundabout with a connection to the Ostautobahn and to Podersdorf am See . Then come Gols and Mönchhof . There is another roundabout in Mönchhof that connects to Zurndorf and Halbturn . The Neusiedler Straße now continues to Frauenkirchen , where there are further connections to Halbturn, Podersdorf and Apetlon . In the next village Sankt Andrä am Zicksee there is a turnoff to Tadten (and further to Andau ). This is followed by the places Wallern in Burgenland and Pamhagen (which form further connections to Tadten, Apetlon and Illmitz ). Finally there is a bridge over the Einser Canal and the state border with Hungary .
