The Hittisauer Straße (L 205) is a state road in Austria . It is 16.4 km long and leads from the Bregenzerwaldstraße (L 200) and thus the valley of the Bregenzer Ach to the German border. The street is named after the municipality of Hittisau , the most populous municipality on the route.

Between Müselbach (district of Alberschwende ) and Lingenau , the Hittisauer Straße crosses the Bregenzer Ach with the Lingenauer Hochbrücke , one of the largest arched bridges in Austria.

In 1870 the road between Aach and Hittisau was built as a rival road.

The Hittisau Street belonged between 1 September 1971 to 1 April 2002, the network of federal roads in Austria .

Like the other former federal highways, Hittisauer Strasse was part of the federal administration. Since April 1, 2002 it has been under state administration. In the other federal states, the conventional street name is continued with B - in Vorarlberg, however, the streets taken over by the federal government have an L in the name like all other Vorarlberg regional streets .
