The Innviertler road (B 137) is a country road in Austria . It connects the Hausruckviertel with the northern Innviertel and the lower Inn Valley with connections to Germany over a length of 61 km . The street begins in Wels an der Traun . It mainly runs along the Wels – Passau railway via Bad Schallerbach , Grieskirchen and Zell an der Pram to Schärding am Inn and the state border on the Inn Bridge.

At Wels it has a connection to the Welser Autobahn (Welser Nordspange, A 25), at Wallern an der Trattnach the Wallerner Strasse  (B 134) branches off to Eferding , at Grieskirchen the Gallspacher Strasse  (B 135) via Gallspach to Gaspoltshofen am Hausruck and the Rieder Straße  (B 141) via Ried im Innkreis to Braunau am Inn , shortly before Schärding the diagonally parallel Eferdinger Straße  (B 129) joins Eferding.

In particular, the road between Neumarkt im Hausruckkreis and Schärding is free of intersections.

history

With the opening of the Innkreis Autobahn , which connects Wels and Schärding up to a maximum of 10 kilometers south of the B 137 - i.e. West Autobahn  (A 1) / Pyhrn Autobahn  (A 7) and German Federal Autobahn 3  (BAB 3) - the overland road has its role largely lost as an international long-distance connection (the E 56 from Nuremberg to the E 57 Graz-Ljubljana now uses the motorway) and is only of local importance - although there has been an increase in toll refugees again since the introduction of the motorway toll.

B137  Like the other former federal highways, Innviertler Strasse was part of the federal administration. Since April 1, 2002, it has been under state administration and continues to have the B in the number, but not the name Bundesstraße.
