Hede Bühl (born June 8, 1940 in Haan ) is a German sculptor .

Bühl was a student of Joseph Beuys and worked temporarily in Ewald Mataré's studio . She lives and works in Düsseldorf. In her sculptures made of stone or metal, the artist deals with the human body and above all with the head. In her monumental works, the human bodies are mutilated, tied up or gagged . Among other things, her bronze sculpture, which was erected on May 2, 1984 in front of the town hall on Burgplatz in Duisburg , in memory of all the men and women of the trade unions who were victims of the National Socialist regime is well known. Her work has been awarded the Käthe Kollwitz Prize of the Akademie der Künste ( Berlin ), the Villa Romana Prize ( Florence ), the Villa Massimo scholarship holder ( Rome ) and the Grand Prize for Sculptures at the New Delhi Triennale .

Hede Bühl is a member of the German Association of Artists ; she lives in Düsseldorf-Golzheim.
