The Styrian Seeberg (also Seebergsattel or Aflenzer Seeberg ) is 1246  m above sea level. A. high mountain pass in Styria , east of the Hochschwab massif and west of the Hohen Veitsch .

The pass road leading over the Styrian Seeberg, the Mariazeller Straße B 20, represents the most important connection between the Mürz Valley near Kapfenberg and the pilgrimage site Mariazell as well as with neighboring Lower Austria . The pass also forms the watershed between Mur and Enns . Directly south of the pass is the small town of Seewiesen , to the north the town of Gollrad and the listed, Alpine model estate of Brandhof Castle .

On the top of the pass there are two listed wayside shrines ( list entries ) and the European long-distance hiking cross, which marks the intersection of the European long-distance hiking trail E4 (according to the inscription: Pyrenees - Jura - Neusiedlersee ) with the European long-distance hiking trail E6 ( Baltic Sea - Wachau - Adriatic ). There are also two Austrian long-distance hiking trails, the Northern Alpine Trail and the North-South Long-Distance Hiking Trail .

A small ski area with two ski lifts is operated with natural snow.

The name of the pass serves to distinguish it from the Seebergsattel on the border between Carinthia and Slovenia , which is also known as the "Carinthian Seeberg".
