The Pogusch is a 1059 m above sea level. A. high alpine pass in Upper Styria . The pass creates the connection between the municipalities of Turnau and Sankt Lorenzen in the Mürz Valley . The “Steirereck” inn is located at the top of the pass.
The earliest written document is from 1280-1295 and reads "at the Pokus". The name goes back to the old Slavic pogošta (restaurant, accommodation). The field name was transferred to the passport.
