The Schwarze Sau (as is customary in the area, also known as the Pöllauer Sattel ) is 1092 m above sea level. A. high pass crossing in western Styria between Katschtal near St. Peter am Kammersberg and upper Wölzertal near Winklern . It is located between Pöllau am Greim and Forstboden (crossing Pöllau / Kammersberg) on Vogelbichl.
The L512 , which connects St. Peter and the town of Oberwölz , leads over the gently rolling pass .
The orographically more significant saddle between the main ridge of the Niedere Tauern and the Murberg Mountains ( Pleschaitz group ) is the Kammersberger Höhe (approx. 1060 m above sea level ) on the Kammersberg ( 1114 m above sea level ) to the southeast. The Schwarze Sau is a small side deepening of the pass landscape.
