The Scharflinger Höhe (also Scharflinger Berg ) is a mountain pass in the Salzkammergut Mountains in the State of Salzburg .

With a pass height of 604  m above sea level. A. connects them Scharfling am Mondsee with Sankt Gilgen am Wolfgangsee . The ball forms a deep cut in the Schafbergbahn group between the eastern Schafbergbahn massif ( 1782  m ) and the western Schober- / Höllkargruppe . Immediately south of the pass is the Krotensee .

The Scharflinger Höhe was excavated by the Wolfgangseegletscher , which broke through the Schafberg – Schoberzug here (with a glacier stream to the Fuschlseegletscher ), and at the time of maximum glaciation in the Mondsee glacier as far as Straßwalchen and Talgau (and there again with the Fuschlseegletscher as well as on both tongues Salzach foreland glacier united).

The Scharflinger Höhe was crossed by the Salzkammergut local railway from 1893 to 1957, passing through the Hüttensteiner Tunnel (436 m) and the Small Tunnel (95 m). The Ischlerbahn route is still preserved on the Schaflings side and leads to the gate of the blocked Hüttensteiner tunnel. Today the Mondsee Straße  (B 154) runs over the pass.
