The Raneck is a mountain pass in the Ötscher massif in Lower Austria .

Pass road

Starting from Gaming , the pass road initially leads along the Erlauf in the valley of the Vorderen Tormäuern to just before the village of Nestelberg . From here the undeveloped road section begins up to the top of the pass, but it has hardly any inclines and is therefore easy to drive on. The top of the pass is in Raneck, from where an asphalt road leads over Ötscherwiese and the village of Lackenhof back into the valley of the Ois (Ybbs) .
