The air (also in the air , sometimes Hohenbrand ) is 628  m above sea level. A. high mountain crossing in Lower Austria between Kettenreith and Kirchberg an der Pielach .

The top of the pass is accessible on both ramps by several serpentines. At the top is the former Gasthaus Luft, the Hohenbrand settlement is on the northwest side of the pass.
