The Hirschegger Sattel is a pass in Styria .
To the south of the Gaberl , the Hirschegger Sattel ( 1543 m above sea level ) connects the Upper Mur Valley with Köflach . The road is not developed, but only partly gravel. Around 1900 a small self-catering hut was built for the first time on the top of the pass, which was later also used for changing horses for the salt transports. Today the salt pan house is located there .
The north-south long-distance hiking trail (Austrian long -distance hiking trail 05) also runs from Gaberl over the Hirschegger Sattel.
