Kristína Neč-Lapinová (born December 23, 1983 in Banská Bystrica as Kristína Lapinová) is a Slovak duathlete and triathlete . She is state champion long distance triathlon (2014) and reigning European cross duathlon champion (2018).
Career
Néč-Lapinová is a versatile athlete - in addition to triathlon competitions in the medium and long distance, she is also active in duathlon, cross triathlon and winter triathlon and as a strong runner she also competes in the marathon distance.
In the U23 class, she was fifth in the winter triathlon at the 2005 World Championships.
At the Duathlon European Championship, she finished fifth in April 2012. She got married in August 2013 and has since started as Kristína Néč-Lapinová. Her son was born in December 2013 and she was on maternity leave.
State champion long distance triathlon 2014
In 2014 she became national champion in the long-distance triathlon. In April 2016, Néč-Lapinová was runner-up European cross-duathlon champion in Romania.
In January 2017, she finished fifth at the European Winter Triathlon Championships.
In September she won the Austria Triathlon on the half-distance , after having achieved two second and one third place here in previous years.
In January 2018, she narrowly missed the podium and finished fourth in the World Championships Winter Triathlon in Romania. In May 2018 she finished seventh at the European Duathlon Championships on the middle distance in Denmark.
In October, the then 34-year-old became European cross-duathlon champion in Ibiza.
In 2019, she took another maternity leave after 2013.
