Sankt Koloman is a municipality with 1769 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the Salzburger Land in the Hallein im Tennengau district in Austria .

geography

The community is located in Tennengau in the Salzburg region on a high plateau in the Salzach Valley between Vigaun and Kuchl . Districts of the community are Oberlangenberg (formerly known as Fürberg ), Taugl and Tauglboden. Until the end of May 1923, the community belonged to the Golling judicial district , and since June 1, 1923, it has been part of the Hallein judicial district .

Community structure

The municipality includes the following three localities (population in brackets as of January 1, 2020):

  • Oberlangenberg (535)
  • Taugl (1212)
  • Tauglboden (22)

The community consists of the cadastral communities Oberlangenberg, Taugl and Tauglboden.

history

In 1506 the first mention of the on June 8th in honor of St. Koloman Church. After the fire of 1768, the newly built church was consecrated in 1805.
