The Church of St. Koloman is the Roman Catholic parish church of the parish of Sankt Koloman in the Hallein district , Salzburg State . The church belongs to the dean's office in Hallein in the archdiocese of Salzburg . She is the St. Koloman consecrated, the patronage is celebrated on Colomani Day , October 13th . In 2004 there were 1490 Catholics in the parish of St. Koloman, established in 1858, with 1537 inhabitants.

history

One church was mentioned in documents in 1506. After a fire in 1768, the church was rebuilt and consecrated in 1805. The interior of the church was restored in 1935. In 1973 the two-storey sacristy was rebuilt . In 1977 the church was restored outside and in 1984 inside.

architecture

The baroque single-nave church building - surrounded by a cemetery - stands in the center of the village. The simple exterior under a gable roof hunched to the east has a segment-arched apse. The undivided tower has arched sound windows and an onion helmet. In the tower hall with a flat ceiling there is a late Gothic console figure of St. Koloman. On the gable facade north of the tower is a war memorial chapel. A baroque crucifix hangs south of the tower.

The hall building under a segmented arch barrel on a surrounding cornice is divided into five yokes by flat pilasters. The two-storey gallery was restored in 1935. The ceiling painting Christ surrounded by children, the birth of Christ, the Annunciation to Mary was painted by the painter Josef Eggl (1873).

Furnishing

The high altar from the 2nd half of the 18th century was changed in 1912. The central figure is a crescent moon Madonna by the sculptor Josef Bachlechner the Elder from the beginning of the 20th century. The console figures of St. Rupert and Virgil, in the essay St. Koloman, created by Johann Georg Itzlfeldner (1775). The side altars from the 2nd half of the 17th century were changed in the 18th century. The left side altar shows the altar leaf Crucifixion by Anton Eggl (1885) and carries the side console figures of St. Sebastian and Rochus and the leprous figures of St. Florian and Georg from the 17th century. Two little angels with the tools of passion from the 18th century are in safekeeping. The right side altar shows the altar sheet St. Johannes Nepomuk by Anton Eggl (1885) and carries the side console figures of St. Joseph and Johannes Nepomuk and the top figures St. Heinrich and Margaretha from the 2nd half of the 18th century.

The pulpit from the late 18th century shows the painting Christ in Emmaus by the painter Anton Eggl (1873). A crucifix and a rosary Madonna are from the 2nd half of the 18th century. The stations of the cross are from the late 19th century.

Kögler organ 2013

The old organ was built by the Mauracher family , but it was dismantled in the 1960s. In 2013 a new Kögler organ was handed over to its destination. Your disposition is as follows:
