Olivier Sorin (born April 16, 1981 in Gien ) is a former French football player and current coach. As a goalkeeper , he was most recently under contract with Ligue 1 Club Stade Rennes . He ended his career there after the 2015/16 season and has been a goalkeeping coach since 2017

Career

Sorin began his career in the youth of the US Orleans . In 2000 he moved to AS Nancy in Ligue 2 . There he made it to Ligue 1 in 2005 and won the French League Cup a year later . For the 2006/07 season he moved to AJ Auxerre for 1.3 million euros . With them he was in goal in 205 league games, first in Ligue 1, after relegation in 2012 also in Ligue 2. He was also used in 6 UEFA Champions League games in 2010 . At the end of his career he moved again to Stade Rennes , but was only a substitute goalkeeper there and ended his career there.

Sorin has been the goalkeeping coach at Stade Rennes since September 1, 2017.
