Olivier de Coëtivy

Olivier de Coëtivy (* 1418 , † 1480 ) Lord of Taillebourg , was a French military. He was advisor and chamberlain to King Charles VII. He came from the House of Coëtivy and was the son of Alain III. and Catherine Chastel, his brothers were Prigent VII. de Coëtivy and the Cardinal Alain de Coëtivy , Bishop of Uzès .

In 1433 he was captain of Dieppe . In 1437 he served under the command of the Connétable de Richemont , who later placed him as one of his confidants in the vicinity of Charles VII. In 1445 he was captain of one of the orderly companies, 1447 captain of La Réole , 1451 of Talmont . In 1450 he became guardian of the three daughters of Charles VII with Agnès Sorel , Jeanne, Marie and Charlotte.
