Olle Langert

Nils Olof Langert (born June 11, 1924 - December 21, 2016 in Gothenburg , Sweden ) was a Swedish painter , cartoonist, graphic artist and sculptor. Langert created monumental works for public spaces and buildings in the municipality of Gothenburg.

He studied at Valands Art School in Gothenburg in 1946/47 and spent two years in Paris. Langert worked in a wide variety of techniques from graphics for magazines to sculpture, for example in residential areas in Gothenburg (using concrete, plastics and metals). He also decorated in the East Hospital in Gothenburg, State Industrial Works in Stockholm and in the Gothenburg Post Office.

His work can be seen in the Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm, the Swedish National Museum , the art museums of Gothenburg, Borås , Malmö , Bornholm ( Rønne ) and the Museum Folkwang in Essen. He exhibited in art galleries in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Skövde .
