Olly Gebauer
Olly Gebauer (born July 13, 1908 in Vienna ; † February 22, 1937 there ) was an Austrian actress .
Life
She gained her first stage experience as a choir singer at the Johann Strauss Theater in Vienna. From 1930 she sang, danced and played in the revues there at the Berlin Admiralspalast . Otto Wallburg was one of her singing partners.
In 1930 she made her film debut and for two years played lively, spirited girls in German cinema in leading and supporting roles. After the seizure of power by the Nazis in 1933, she emigrated with her Jewish husband, the actor and director Max Nosseck from Germany. She took on the leading role in Nosseck's production Gado Bravo , which was created in Portugal . She stayed several times in Vienna to participate in Austrian films, where she died of laryngeal paralysis at the age of 28 after a long illness.
