Olof Eriksson

Olof Werner William Eriksson (born April 5, 1911 in Helsinki ; † May 27, 1987 ibid) was a Finnish heraldist and medalist .

He designed and revised many Finnish municipal coats of arms . The coat of arms of Finland used today can also be assigned to this heraldist. He also designed a coin, the half Finnmark .

He had a successful collaboration with Gustaf von Numers and Ahti Hammar. In 1965 he received the state award of the Order of the Lion of Finland .
