Tajikistan took part in the 2006 Winter Olympics in the Italian Turin with a single athlete part. It was Tajikistan's second participation in the Winter Olympics .

Alpine skiing

After Andrei Drygin already competed as a single starter at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, he was also able to qualify for the Winter Olympics in Turin and again took part as a single starter for Tajikistan. After he was eliminated in both the Super-G and the giant slalom in 2002, he finished the downhill and the Super-G in Turin in 51st place. He also started in the giant slalom, but was unable to finish the first run.
