Omran Haydary (born January 13, 1998 in Mazar -e Sharif ) is a Dutch - Afghan football player who is under contract in Poland with first division club Lechia Gdańsk .

Career

Club career

Haydary began his career at MSP '03 before joining the youth team at Roda JC Kerkrade in 2007 , where he worked in all of the youth departments. After his contract in Kerkrade expired, he signed a contract with second division FC Emmen in July 2017 until 2020. He made his debut on September 15, 2017 in the game against NEC Nijmegen . In April 2018, the winger's contract was terminated prematurely after 15 league appearances.

In the same month, league rivals FC Dordrecht announced that they would sign Haydary. He played his first game on August 24, 2018 in the 2-5 defeat by Ajax Amsterdam's second team . After 16 games in the second division, he broke his contract prematurely, as at his previous station in Emmen.

For the 2019/20 season he moved to the Polish second division club Olimpia Grudziądz . Here he scored twelve goals in 20 league games until the winter break and was committed to Lechia Gdańsk from Ekstraklasa the following February .

National team

In August 2018, Kouhyar was nominated for the first time for the Afghan national team for the game against Palestine . In the 0-0 draw, he also made his debut in the national jersey. During the qualification for the U-23 Asian Cup 2020 , Haydary acted as captain of the U-23 national team of Afghanistan. He scored two goals in three games in the ultimately unsuccessful qualification.
