Ondřej Neff (born June 26, 1945 in Prague ) is a Czech writer of science fiction literature, journalist and editor of the online daily Neviditelný pes ( Invisible Dog , since 2005 together with Lidovky.cz ) and DigiNeff (published since 1999).

Life

The son of the writer Vladimír Neff is now widowed. His wife, whom he married in 1969, died of cancer on August 7, 2002 and had two children: son David Neff (singer and photographer for the internet newspaper Neviditelný pes and the daily newspaper Mladá Fronta dnes) and daughter Irena.

Neff studied social sciences and journalism at Charles University until 1969 . From 1970 to 1974 he propagated in the Albatros publishing house , until 1975 he was responsible for advertising in the Kotva department store . He then worked as a photographer until 1979 and from 1979 to 1985 as an editor for the daily newspaper Mladá fronta , in whose subsequent privatization he was involved. From 1987 to 1989 he edited the magazine Kmen , was editor-in-chief of the magazine Ikarie from 1990 to 1993 and from 1990 to 1994 editor of Mladá fronta Dnes .

At the end of November 1998, he and Patrick Zandl and Ivo Lukačovič were at the cradle of the Internet proti monopolu (Internet against monopoly) protest , also known as Bojkot (boycott). She protested against the increase in the price of Internet access by the monopoly SPT Telecom . There was a lot of media coverage, including in the population, and negotiations and tariff adjustments.
