Oon Chong Jin

Oon Chong Jin (born July 11, 1939 in Kuala Lumpur ) is a former Malaysian badminton player . Oon Chong Teik is his older brother , Oon Chong Hau his younger brother.

Career

Oon studied in Cambridge and was able to indulge his passion for badminton. In his study country he won 30 tournaments from 1957 to 1958, including the Scotland, Welsh and Irish Open. In the All England he made it into the quarterfinals of the men's singles several times. In 1960 he was even in the semi-finals. He did better in doubles, where he was in the semifinals in 1959 and 1963 and was able to advance to the final in 1965.
