Oostburg ( Zeeland - Flemish Wòstburg ) is a district of the municipality Sluis in the Dutch province of Zeeland . The population is mostly Protestant, there is a Catholic minority. 4,735 people live there (as of January 1, 2017).
history
The city received city rights in 1237.
Until 2003, Oostburg was also the headquarters of the municipality of the same name. This merged with the municipality of Sluis-Aardenburg to form the new municipality of Sluis .
