Sluis-Aardenberg is the name of a former municipality in the Netherlands , which was created in 1995 through the merger of the municipalities of Aardenburg and Sluis in the province of Zeeland . It merged on January 1, 2003 with the municipality of Oostburg to form the municipality of Sluis. The community extended over an area of 83.71 km², of which 1.26 km² was water. The seat of the municipality was Aardenburg. On December 31, 2002, 6,601 people were living in the community.
