The Opština Rankovce ( Macedonian Ранковце ) is one of the Opštini in North Macedonia . It is located in the north of the country between Kumanovo and Kriva Palanka .
The main town Rankovce and the villages Baratlija, German, Ginovci, Gulinci, Krivi Kamen, Ljubinci, Milutince, Odreno, Opila, Otošnica, P'klište, Petralica, Psača, Radibuš, Stanča, Vetunica and Vržogrnci belong to the Opština. Most of these villages have around 200 inhabitants each. While the main town is on Europastraße 871 , some of the villages belonging to the municipality are difficult to reach because there are no paved roads yet. The village of German is around 1300 m. i. J. high on a range of hills on the Macedonian- Serbian border and is regularly cut off from the outside world for a few weeks in winter.

Since many young residents move to the cities, especially from the remote villages, the population is declining (1994: 4347 Ew .; 2002: 4144 Ew.) And there is a high proportion of older residents. The majority of the population are Macedonians , around 1.4% are Roma .
