Open source font
Open source font is the slang term for a font that is under an open or free license recognized by the Open Source Initiative or Free Software Foundation . The criterion that distinguishes it from many fonts that are only offered as “free fonts” is that commercial use of these fonts is generally permitted, as is distribution and editing. The term is not to be confused with OpenType ; this is a file format definition.
