Opocunonia is a plant kind from the family of Cunoniaceae .

description

All Opocunonia species are trees. The leaves are pinnate unpaired and have frequently along the midrib a domatium .

The inflorescences are axillary or terminal sympodies , the flowers open at the same time and are protandric . The perianth is five or sixfold, the nectarium ring-shaped.

The fruits are capsules with around forty winged seeds.

The genus is native to eastern Malesia and the Solomon Islands .
