The Oqsuv (also Oqdaryo ; Russian Акдарья́ / Akdarja or Аксу / Aksu; German: "white water") is a left tributary of the Qashqadaryo in Uzbekistan .
The Oqsuv rises in Baisuntau -Gebirgszug in western Hissargebirges . It flows in a predominantly west-northwest direction through the province of Qashqadaryo . At Rudak it is dammed by a dam . The Oqsuv flows through the town of Kitob and shortly afterwards flows into the Qashqadaryo.
The Oqsuv has a length of about 150 km. It drains an area of 1280 km². The river is fed by the snowmelt and meltwater from the glaciers . Between May and July, the river carries the highest drains. The mean discharge at the Khazarnowa gauge is 11.8 m³ / s. Some of the river water is diverted for irrigation purposes .
