Orange Blossom is a French band from Nantes , which can be assigned to the genre of world music and electronic music . The band, founded in 1993, has had a great influence on Arabic and Western music.
Band history
Their first published CD Orange Blossom in 1997 sold 15,000 copies on the Prikosnovénie music label . Before their second album Everything must Change , they were heavily influenced by ethnic and traditional music. This appeared on the label Bonsaï Music .
They worked with some non-French music groups like Yelemba D'Abidjan ( Ivory Coast ) and Ganoub ( Egypt ) and toured in Egypt, France and Belgium .
Members of the band since it was founded in 1993 were PJ Chabot ( violin ) and Jay C. ( drums and vocals ). In 1994 Éric ( organ ) joined. But he left the group a year later, but Carlos Robles Arenas (drums, djembé and sampler) joined. In 2000 singer Jay C. left the band and started his own Prajna . In 2002, drummer Mathias Vaguenez ( Mexico ) and singer Leïla Bounous (half Algerian , half French ) joined them.
