The orange fin anemonefish ( Amphiprion chrysopterus ) lives in the coral reefs of the Philippines , northern New Guinea , the Solomon Islands , Vanuatus , New Caledonia and the Great Barrier Reef .

The body of the fish is dark brown on the flanks, the underside, the head and the fins are orange. The caudal fin is white. Two broad, white-blue horizontal stripes run across the body, the first directly behind the eye, the second beginning in the middle of the dorsal fin . The dorsal fin has ten to eleven hard and 15 to 17 soft rays, the anal fin has two hard and 13 to 14 soft rays. Amphiprion chrysopterus is up to 15 centimeters long.
