Order of Ferdinand I.
The Order Ferdinand I ( Romanian Ordinul Ferdinand I ) was donated by him on May 10, 1929 to the eternal memory of King Ferdinand I of Romania , especially for the unification of all Romanians in one state in six classes.
Order classes
The number of owners was limited and was extended by decree on April 24, 1933. The members of the royal house were exempt from this rule.
- Collane - 5/8 holders
- Grand Cross - 10/15 holders
- Grand Officer - 25/40 holders
- Commander - 40/60 owners
- Officer - 50/75 owner
- Ritter - 70/100 owners
Carrying method
When the first class was awarded, the Grand Cross was worn on a collar. The second class was carried on a sash from the right shoulder to the left hip and with a four-pointed breast star on which the medal rests. In addition to a four-pointed breast star, grand officers wore the medal as well as commanders as a neck medal . Officers and knights wore the award on the ribbon on the left side of the chest.
The ribbon is dark blue with a golden central stripe and in this a narrow red stripe.
Others
The order Ferdinand I ranked second in the Romanian order system behind the order Carol I. Since February 12, 1937 no more awards have been made.
